Job Description

Overview Responsible for coordinating the receipt, distribution and storage of all items ordered and received by the Materials Management department.

Responsibilities Receives inventory and non inventory materials addressed to the facility. Assures product viability and accuracy of shipments. Resolves receipt discrepancies and reports to the Materials Manager in a timely manner.
Unpacks, inspects and receives daily shipments. Verifies all items on packing slips and purchase orders; makes notations where necessary. Attaches P/S to PO, generate receiving documents and ensures signatures are received upon delivery. Does not have product staged in department for more than 2 business days.
Enters receipt data into Lawson computer system. Entries are made accurately and timely.
Accurately separates stock and non-stock deliveries for proper handling. Ensures “RUSH”, perishable or frozen deliveries are processed quickly.
Notifies the Buyer or Manager, in a timely manner, of problems or discrepancies related to receiving or receipt of routine or capital equipment.
Assists with stocking received inventory items in their proper location within the storeroom. Received inventory products are stored accurately, timely and neatly.
Prepares packages for shipment to appropriate companies/individuals. Assures packages are labeled properly and shipped out in a timely manner.
Assists in receiving phone orders for inventory supplies. Receives calls and delivers products to appropriate areas in a timely manner
Assists Distribution in the inventory and replenishment of Omnicell units; when necessary.
Assists Distribution in filling requisition orders for all departments.
Ensures Storeroom is maintained daily for neatness and cleanliness. Trash is removed on a daily basis and excess empty boxes are removed at the end of each day.
Process all outbound freight through approved carriers. Coordinates pick up and maintains records of transactions in a timely manner.
Equipment deliveries are given to Biomed for inspection before delivery to the department.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Materials Manager.
Assists in annual physical inventory

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

1. Healthcare warehouse experience preferred.
2. Forklift Operator License required (can obtain after job offer)
3. Must be computer literate and have working experience using software used in Materials Management.
4. Strong communication skills.
