Responsibilities In conjunction with the Trauma Medical Co-Director, is responsible for the organization of services and systems necessary for a multidisciplinary approach to providing care to injured patients and for managing, promoting, evaluating and directing the day-to-day operations of the Trauma Program. Provides direction for patient care across the continuum in collaboration with the trauma team physicians, sub-specialists, nursing and ancillary services. Has decision-making responsibilities.� Coordinates and supervises other personnel and performs customer related services (up to 100%).� Works in a hazardous and stressful environment.� Must be aware of work environment for the safety of others and self.� Works non-typical work schedule. Has decision-making responsibilities.� Position requires the individual to be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients being served on unit.�� Education and Work Experience
  1. Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent preferred.
  2. 5 years of experience in emergency department or critical care setting that includes clinical experience in the care of injured patients preferred or more years of management/supervisory experience preferred.
  3. Registered Nurse License ? State of Michigan.
  4. PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or ENPC within six months required.
  5. ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
  6. Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum Certification required within 6 months of employment to position
