Overview

**Please note this is a Regional role, responsible for all Division II facilities**

 

Responsible for system wide coordination of Behavioral Healthcare services across Prime Healthcare that supports corporate-wide programs, treatment programming, policies and procedures to assess, evaluate and meet the needs of the mental health patient. Will assume a leadership role in developing, implementing and coordinating education plans for providing training in all clinical setting, that meet Behavioral Health specific requirements. Work collaboratively with Administration and Leadership at the facility level to oversee compliance with goals and objectives established by the Prime Healthcare Services as a system. Serves as an expert resource within Prime Healthcare for Behavioral Healthcare services and treatment programs and service line development for Prime Healthcare Services.

Responsibilities


  • Demonstrates knowledge of Inpatient and Outpatient Behavioral Health operations and Policies and Procedures

  • Knowledge and experience in behavioral health contractsknowledge and experience in behavioral health contracts

  • Familiar with Administrative policies and procedures, Hospital and Behavioral Health, inpatient and outpatient programming and treatment practices

  • Maintains HIPPA compliance and up to date with new regulatory changes and privacy practices specific to Behavioral Health Laws, for inpatient and out-patient treatment

  • Flexible in work schedule and day to day operations

  • Travels to different locations and out of state as needed to support day to day operations

  • Working knowledge of behavioral health practices, standards, clinical operations, regulatory requirement, reimbursement practices and current Mental Health Law

  • Working knowledge of state and federal regulatory and various accreditation requirements related to behavioral health care

  • Working knowledge of service lines within Behavioral Health Care Treatment services and how to access and reference regulatory standard related to each type of service line within the Behavioral Health Scope

  • Has working knowledge of DSM, Treatment Programming, Treatment Planning and other program therapies, to support services as a consultant to the processes

  • Supports the role as a consultant to advise facilities on processes to efficiently manage Inpatient and Outpatient Behavioral Health operations

  • Assists hospital administration with patients’, physicians’, employees’ concerns or issues as they relate to hospital behavioral health related operations

  • Maintains a process of keeping records of minutes from department committees and other meetings as assigned.  Assists in the preparation, planning and execution of agenda

  • Initiates processes for standardization of products and policies throughout the system

  • Reviews any and all contracts related to Behavioral Health and provides suggestions and or recommendations to improve cost, quality and processes

  • Reviews and provides recommendations related to any staffing changes

  • Oversee and consult on Behavioral Health Projects to meet the goals and objectives established by Prime Healthcare and in accordance with strategic direction

  • Performs other duties as assigned or required


 

 

 

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Nursing, Social Work, or closely related field required. Master’s Degree preferred.

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or closely related licensure required.

  • Minimum 10 years Behavioral Health experience.

  • Minimum 5 years in a Behavioral Health leadership or administrative role.

  • Proficient with computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

  • Excellent in communication and management skills.
