Job Description

Overview

The Radiology Technologist/ Surgical Scrub Technologist will work directly with the surgeon and registered nurse during vascular interventional procedures. Requires complete knowledge of inventory usage such as guide wires, catheters, balloons and stents. Follows filming and paperwork protocols as outlined for the various cases; provides a sterile environment while assisting the vascular surgeon; assists with diagnostic or interventional procedures. Provides a safe and therapeutic environment; to perform related duties as assigned.

Stands and performs any necessary additional exams.
Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the physician (Radiologist), assists during procedures. Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure. Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies. Is well versed in x-ray principles as they relate to vascular procedures, cine angiography, fluoroscopy, and ultrasound procedures. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities. Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive interventional procedures. Participate in covering call shifts. We are willing to train a qualified candidate with acute care experience. #LI-JS1
Qualifications

1. CRT/ Fluoroscopy Permit issued by State by CDPH is required.

2. ARRT is required.

3. Venipuncture license required.

4. Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations.

5. Current BCLS (AHA).

6. One year of ACUTE clinical radiography preferred.

7. One year in Second Modality as required: Advanced Certification may be substituted.

8. Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT.

9. Interventional procedure scrub experience preferred -- or willing to receive training.
