Responsibilities

Department: Plant Maintenance

Status: Per Diem

Shift: Varied

 

The Plant Engineer III maintains accurate logs on all equipment in hospital and provides for a safe working environment. Maintains and repairs equipment including, but not limited to, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, plant maintenance, and medical gas systems. Maintains the building and its related systems. Certified and/or licensed in a specific trade that is directly related to healthcare engineering.

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or GED required. 
2. Current Driver’s License preferred.

 

 

Please note, additional requirements may be require based on speciality area:

 

ELECTRICIAN:

1. Completion of a four (4) year apprenticeship program as an electrician; or, six (6) years experience working as a journeyman electrician.

 

HVAC-R TECHNICIAN:

1. Completion of a four (4) year apprenticeship program as an HVAC technician; or, six (6) years experience working as a journeyman HVAC technician.

2. Current EPA certification for working with refrigerants.

 

PLANT OPERATOR:

1. Minimum of four (4) years experience working in a facilities department with a minimum of two (2) years experience as an operator of high-pressure steam boilers required.

 

PLUMBER:

1. Completion of a four (4) year apprenticeship program as a plumber; or, six (6) years experience working as a journeyman plumber.

 

 

 

Employees must be in their current position for a minimum of six calendar months and not received any disciplinary action within the last six months to apply and be considered for a transfer.
