Job Description

Responsibilities

Department: Fitness Center

Status: Full Time

Shift: Varied

 

The Plant Engineer I is the first responder for many work requests received by the department(s) and performs preventative maintenance and repairs necessary to maintain the fitness Center. The Plant Engineer I also performs inspections and tests the equipment regularly and as necessary. The Plant Engineer I maintains the repairs equipment including but not limited to mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and exercise equipment. The Plant Engineer I supports the mission and philosophy of both the Fitness Center and Prime Healthcare.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

 

1.   High School diploma or GED.

2.   A minimum of one year facilities maintenance experience preferred; pool experience is a plus

3.   Pool experience or CPO certification is a plus

4.   Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.

5.   Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.

 

 

Employees must be in their current position for a minimum of six calendar months and not received any disciplinary action within the last six months to apply and be considered for a transfer.
