Job Description

Responsibilities The Pediatric Liaison Nurse is responsible for ensuing compliance with Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics (EDAP) standards and the EDAP agreement reference no. 312.  The Pediatric Liaison Nurse, will manage all policies and procedures established by the EMS agency in partnership with the EDAP Medical Director, the Pediatric Liaison Nurse will oversee the EDAP QI program and act as a liaison between associates, providers and administrative staff who are involved with the provision of solid evidence based pediatric care.

 

 

Education and Work Experience

    2 Years experience working in pediatrics or in an ED that provides care for pediatric patients within the previous 5 yearsDemonstrated competence in leading adult & pediatric codesCompletion of a 2-day pediatric emergency course within the last 4 yearsCompletion of 7 hours of pediatric continuing education approved by the Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) within the last 2 yeasBSN preferredOutstanding communication & mentoring skillsStrong independent time management skillsBilingual English/Spanish preferredIntermediate computer skills requiredCurrent BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.Current ACLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current. Current PALS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current required. Instructor preferred.Emergency Nurses Pediatric Course (ENPC) preferredMobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) preferred
