Responsibilities

Department: Surgery 

Status: Full Time - 36 hours/week

Shift: Varied

 

The OR Tech is responsible for the preparation of sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure, maintaining sterile field during case and providing surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures.

Qualifications

1. High School diploma or GED required.2. Must meet state requirements as a surgical tech: see AB No. 347; 79th Session (2017) re: Surgical Technologists.3. BLS Certification (AHA) required.4. Experience in an acute care setting preferred.5. Graduate of Surgical Technologist training program preferred.6. Minimum of one year surgical scrub experience in an acute care setting preferred.

 

Employees must be in their current position for a minimum of six calendar months and not received any disciplinary action within the last six months to apply and be considered for a transfer.
