Job Description

Department: Fitness Center
Status: Part Time
Shift: Varied
 
The Member Services Representative (MSR) is responsible for processing new member account information. Assist with all member issues including Member Holds, Member Resignations, refunds, and adjustments, and make appropriate changes on member accounts for vital information. The MSR Monitor Aged Trial Balance and collect past due items and cancel two month bad debt accounts; works with Finance department on collection leads and Aged Trial Balance Review. With Direct Oversight, the MSR Writes off balances owed for bad debt; process payments for past due items; enter EFT changes; reactivate bad debt accounts when paid. The MSR is able to operate a computer to accurately input and retrieve data. Special projects or other assignments may be given with expectations to be completed in designated timeframes.
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience
  • College degree preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 10 Key, Basic math and accounting skills.
  • 2 years experience working in a business environment handling billing and/or accounting preferred.
  • Proficient in computer operations to include: MS Office -Excel
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
  • Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current
