Job Description

Overview

Implement and Support Meditech Business Applications, including BAR, GL, AP, and other ancillary applications.
Responsibilities

The Meditech Clinical Applications Analyst assists all clinical departments in fully adopting, integrating and operating information technology, including computer equipment and software, to improve the timeliness, quality and safety of patient care and business operations. 

Assists clinical departments in IT planning and implementation.

Maintains current knowledge of IT systems and advises clinical leaders on state-of-the-art and trends in clinical IT. 

The Meditech Clinical Applications Analyst must possess the personal integrity and discretion necessary to handle sensitive information.

Facilitates relationships between clinical departments and Information Services.

Assists each clinical department in understanding and adopting clinical information technology (IT) best practices.

All other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

  • Experience with MEDITECH CS/Magic/6.0 and have very strong building skills.
  • Business Office experience preferred.
  • Five (5) years experience in support of Meditech business modules, implementations and/or upgrades.
  • Excellent understanding of the terminology, functional knowledge, business processes and issues related to using computer systems in business modules and other ancillary modules.
  • Ability to communicate tactfully and work effectively with vendors and system staff at all levels.
  • Ability and commitment to meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Capable of working well in a diverse, multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to maintain a professional attitude.
  • Ability to plan and facilitate meeting with diverse groups.
  • Problem solving skills.

  • Travel requirements of 60%.
