Job Description

Overview

Manager – Decision support is responsible for the analysis and report creation to support the decision making for the hospital. Managed and maintain the hospital current chargemaster with the direction from corporate. Provide support to other hospital directors with analytical information for decision making.
Responsibilities

Revenue Cycle

1. Prepare reports as required to evaluate the components of the Revenue Cycle including but not limited to CMI, LOS, Managed Care Reimbursement Program payments, etc.

2. Provide support to accounting in the preparation of the Corporate Revenue/Contractual model. Evaluate the outcome for reasonableness.

3. Assist Health Information Management in the preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports.

4. Work with the CBO to reduce or eliminate errors in billings that may be caused by errors in coding in the CDM, insurance plan set ups, etc.

5. Provide support during the audit on running reports and analysis as requested.

 

Project Management

6. Take on assigned projects by CFO/Administration and provided periodic updates on the progress of the project on timelines agreed upon.

7. Manage project and team members, maintain minutes and or progress notes during the course of the project, Define the deliverables of the project.

8. Assign tasks to the members of the project and monitor progress. Provide supervision on the project and provide mentorship to the other members of the team

9. Manage the project in order to meet interim milestones and final deadlines.

 

10. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

1. Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Management, Health Information Management or Business Administration equivalent experience preferred.

2. Working knowledge or training in project management

3. 3 years’ work experience in a hospital setting required.

4. Interpersonal skills necessary to deal with and establish working relationships with physicians, hospital personnel and co-workers.
