Job Description



Overview

Responsible for the development and implementation of a patient focused program for the treatment of peripheral vascular disease at St Mary Medical Center.

 

This position will manage the clinical, economic and quality aspects of the program. Promotes the delivery of quality care for patients across the continuum of care. Coordinates program activities and services in collaboration with clinical service departments and business development. In collaboration with the medical staff and hospital administration follows the strategic plan for program implementation and development; activities include business development, marketing, quality standards reporting, performance improvement assessment, community outreach programs, physician support and on-going education programs.

 

1. Current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (preferred) or Certified Medical Assistant.

2. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

3. Minimum of 5 years in clinic or hospital setting required

4. Cardiology or Vascular clinical experience in a hospital strongly preferred

5. Previous program development experience preferred.

6. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.

7. Results oriented leader with ability to think strategically and work well independently. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills required.

8. IV certification upon hire; Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification preferred.

9. ACLS (AHA) certificate required 30 days upon hire.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the assessment, implementation and evaluation of nursing care provided for assigned patients under the supervision of an RN. Functions as an effective member of an interdisciplinary team in providing care to patients.
