Job Description



Responsibilities

Acts as a receptionist, transcribes physician’s orders, maintains patient’s charts and adheres to Unit Secretary standards. Collects identified hemodialysis data and collates the information into the appropriate format and forwards the documents to the appropriate personnel within the identified time frame. Travels, as needed to the identified sites to attend HD meetings and to obtain information that is not available remotely. Contacts the facilities and units daily to identify any potential HD patients and ensure that the dispatch center is notified of the accurate number of patients requiring HD treatments. Communicates with the facilities and ensures that the HD information is provided in the identified time frame. Completes and maintains meeting minutes as directed. Participates in various committees as directed. Maintains various metrics related to HD patients and types of treatments, frequencies and other items as directed and forwards to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner and as directed.

 

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred; college degree desired.

  • Must have strong communication skills.

  • General office and/or Personnel related experience is required.

  • 1-2 Years of Healthcare experience preferred.

  • Microsoft Office skills required.

  • Ability to excel in a faced paced environment.
