Health Informatics Analyst position serves as the primary contact and representative for the Health Information Services department, Reporting to the Director of Health Informatics. With an understanding of the scope of services for the department, assists the Director in accomplishing the goals of the department. The Analyst is responsible for planning, organizing and Conducting department activities and ensuring security and maintenance of the legal medical record. Effectively interacts with patients and their representations, physicians and their office staff, co-workers and other health team members, while maintaining standards of professional service. Performs administrative duties and complies data for reporting to the Director. will provide analytic support and quantify business requirements and perform analyses, forecasting and mining of data to support cross-functional teams and stakeholders.


Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Healthcare field, Business Discipline, Healthcare Management, Health Information management or Information Science or equivalent experience required.
  • Prior work experience in acute care setting required.
    Preferred qualifications:
  • Master’s degree
  • Clinical experience.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to deal with and establish working relationships with physicians, and hospital staff.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal regulatory requirements for medical staff documentation; preferred.
  • Minimum six months direct release of information duties; preferred.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology; preferred.
  • Attendance in Health Information Management program with certificate of completion; preferred.
