Lake Huron Medical Center earned a five-star overall hospital rating by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

Responsibilities The Director is the key management leader of the Foundation. The Director is responsible for overseeing the administration, programs, strategic plan and financial viability of the Foundation. The Foundation’s core programs include: the People’s Clinic for Better Health - Uninsured and Medicaid Clinics, Lake Huron Volunteer Organization, and Lake Huron Gift Shop. Other key duties include grant writing, fund development, events management, cultivating collaborative partnerships, marketing and communications, and community outreach. The position reports directly to the Foundation Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer

Education and Work Experience

  1. Transparent and high integrity leadership.
  2. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in business, healthcare or non-profit management required; Master's Degree in related field preferred.
  3. Five years or more experience in non-profit healthcare setting; management level leadership preferred.
  4. Solid, hands-on, budget management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making and reporting.
  5. Strong organizational abilities including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation.
  6. Ability to convey a vision and mission of the Foundation's strategic future to staff, board, volunteers and donors.
  7. Knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations unique to nonprofit sector.
  8. Skills to collaborate with and motivate board members and other volunteers.
  9. Strong written and oral communication skills.
  10. Ability to interface and engage diverse volunteer and donor groups.
  11. Demonstrated ability to oversee and collaborate with staff.
  12. Strong public speaking ability.
