Overview

The Executive Assistant is responsible for the day to day operations of the department on a daily, routine basis.  The Executive Assistant works with the Hospital Administrator/CEO, Administrative team members and department heads to ensure compliance with goals and objectives established by the hospital corporation.  Communicate effectively, in writing, verbally, and via telephone, with all levels of personnel and visitors.  Input and retrieve computerized data.

Responsibilities

Prepares reports, memos, correspondence, meeting minutes, special projects, etc. for the Director.

Reviews and edits all written materials.

Maintains the Director’s calendar and appointments.

Sorts, logs and distributes all incoming mail; identifies mail that needs immediate attention.

Maintains all management files.

Able to organize and prioritize duties on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

Qualifications

1. Must obtain High School Diploma or Equivalent; college degree preferred.2. 1- 2 years secretarial experience preferred.3. Must speak, read, write English with the ability to compose correspondence displaying good command of the English language.4. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.5. Must exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to learn.6. Additional languages preferred.
