Responsibilities

Responsible for designing a treatment plan and accurately calculating the delivery of radiation treatment based on the Radiation Oncologist�s prescribed course of radiation therapy and according to established practices and standards. Calculates treatment machine settings, documents calculations, and records treatment data in therapy chart. May perform or assist in the receiving, loading, and shipping of radioactive materials.
Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree in Physical or Biological Sciences
  2. Certification as a Medical Dosimetrist from the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB)
  3. Current state certification or licensure in states where applicable
  4. Two years of accumulated experience in the same or comparable job classification required
  5. Current Basic Life Support/BCLS (AHA) certification
  6. Strong verbal and written skills.
  7. Comprehensive Knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulatory standards required.
