Responsibilities

As our new Director of Critical Care, you will have administrative responsibility for the management and coordination of our Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit and Cardiac Care Unit.  In this role, you will supervise, assess, plan, implement and evaluate the delivery of patient care associated with these units. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, enjoys mentoring staff, is a relationship builder and has a keen eye for improving patient care.  As you would suspect, this position oversees departmental planning including performance improvement activities and compliance with current regulations. Most importantly, you will lead a close, very collaborative, Critical Care team. Qualifications

1. Current and valid Missouri license as a Registered Nurse.

2. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

3. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)-(AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

4. Current PALS upon hire and maintain current.

5. Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.

6. A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience necessary.

7. Minimum of three years of continuous clinical experience in a clinical/acute care setting preferred.

8. Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

9. Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) within 6 months of hire and maintain current annually.
