Responsibilities In this new role, the Corporate Director for ASC Development & Operations will provide leadership for development and management of Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs) in various markets for Prime Healthcare. With direction from the Health System CMO for Strategy, this role will lead the development of ASC “Service Line” across the Prime system. Key responsibilities include strategic assessment of various markets, identifying target sites and opportunities, operationalizing plans and launching ASCs, overseeing daily operational activities, and maintaining financial stewardship and profitability. Ensures that ASCs operate within the established policies, procedures, and strategic objectives of the system and in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.


Ideal candidate will have significant experience with developing and managing successful ASCs. Clinical experience in a perioperative discipline is preferred.



Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing and/or healthcare administration required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Certification in Ambulatory Surgery Center (CASC) desired within 18 months of hire
  • Minimum 5 years previous ASC management experience and/or hospital perioperative management required.
  • Understands the importance of ASC efficiency, cost effectiveness, and profitability.
  • Possesses ability to manage more than one facility or multiple projects.
  • Is willing to travel to various Markets to launch and manage ASCs (Approx. 50%).
  • Experience in developing and managing relationships with physicians in key specialties, including (but not limited to): orthopedics, sports medicine, gastroenterology, physiatry, podiatry, hand, foot, & ankle specialists, and anesthesia/pain management.
