Overview

THIS POSITION CAN BE LOCATED IN ANY STATE/CITY WHERE THERE IS A PRIME HEALTHCARE HOSPITAL.

Responsibilities

The Corporate Director of Peri-Operative Services for Division 2 is responsible for direction of patient care in the operative environment for multiple facilities.  The Corporate Director will oversee and collaborate with the leadership and frontline staff members in the Ambulatory Surgery, Surgery, Post Anesthesia and Sterile Processing/Central Supply Departments. This includes consulting with staff, physicians and Nurse Executive on process and operational issues along with the updating of hospital policies to reflect best practice and standard of care.  The Corporate Director will initiate and/or monitor performance improvement activities and participate in the financial planning within the Peri-Operative Service line of Division 2 facilities.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.

  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)-(AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

  • A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience necessary.

  • At least two (2) years of experience in Surgical Nursing.

  • Current Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) (AORN) certificate(s) upon hire, preferred.

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

  • FEMA Incident Command System Training 100, 200, & 700

  •  

    FACILITY SPECIFIC:

  • Current PALS (AHA) Certificate upon hire and maintain current.
