Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Corp Director of Lab Services, assist in the management of clinical laboratories including operation, compliance, quality improvement, technical, personnel, instrumentation, and supply chain in accordance with established corporate, hospital and department policies and standards. Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements mandated by appropriate accrediting and licensing agencies. Promote corporate initiative for optimization, efficiency, and productivity. Analyses data for outcomes and creates reports in support of business model. Takes on special projects or other assignments with expectations of completion within a specified timeframe.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience
  • Valid Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist state license and/or certification from American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), American Medical Technologists (AMT), American Association of Bioanalysts (AAB), National Credentialing Agency (NCA) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years general supervisory experience in clinical hospital lab preferred.
  • Proficient in laboratory information system (LIS), blood bank, and pathology computer system including use of spreadsheet, database, power point and word processor.
  • Experience in project management and laboratory work flow design preferred.
