Job Description

Overview  

ACCESS ADMINISTRATION

  • Request new user IDs and access, review training schedules; provide input for employees completing Epic training. Work with HR to develop and streamline communication and documentation for new hires. 
ASSIST & PROVIDE PHYSICIAN ASSISTANCE/TRAINING WITH:

  • Epic (all modules as required)
  • Dragon DMO
  • Neurology Workbench/Nihon Kohden/SOC Telemed
  • Other Physician specific software as required
EPIC:

  • Assist in troubleshooting issues with Epic modules;
  • Work with users to submit change requests for needed changes per work flows;
  • Act as local POC for all implementation, upgrades, SUP’s, training documentation, etc. as required;
CLINICAL LIAISON:

  • Act as liaison between customer and technical IT and/or IT application and technical IT.
  • Clearly communicate issues or requests and understand what is needed to resolve issues. 
  • Round on clinical floors to monitor issues.
CLINICAL INTEGRATION

  • Analyze and troubleshoot hardware integrated with clinical applications
  • understand application configurations for optimal use and peak performance
Responsibilities Manages MEDITECH/enterprise system applications in the areas of ongoing user support/training, dictionary, maintenance, system enhancements, problem analysis, resolution and troubleshooting. Works with vendors and other IT staff to coordinate hardware installation, maintain and oversee changes, corrections, enhancement to the Clinical Systems. Acts as a liaison for Departments for Clinical System issues.

Education and Work Experience

  1. High School Diploma required for all new hires starting 4/1/14.
  2. Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Healthcare field, Business Discipline, Healthcare Management, Health Information management or Information Science or equivalent experience preferred.
  3. 2 years work experience in a hospital setting required.
  4. Clinical experience preferred.
  5. Interpersonal skills necessary to deal with and establish working relationships with physicians, hospital personnel and co-workers.
