Overview
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible to supervise, coordinate and evaluate nursing care in the Behavioral Health units, in accordance with the Registered Nurse Practice Act, Standard of Practice and facility policies and procedures. Collaborate with the Program Director in the implementation of the philosophy and objectives for Behavioral Health. Supervise/coordinate all nursing activities to achieve and maintain efficient and competent nursing practices and promote harmonious relationships among personnel supervised, medical staff, patients and internal customers. Define and prioritize goals for self and subordinates. Evaluate performance of nursing personnel and nursing care and suggests modifications. Oversees the provision of patient care for adults and older adult patients. Continually assess care and directs staff to make immediate changes in the plan of care. Reviews and Presents all admission intakes. 
 
Attends treatment team on both Behavioral Health units and ensures patient/family participation. Attends family meetings with Social Worker. Facilitates the completion of Medication Consent on all patients. When necessary performs admission and discharge duties. Assigned other duties as needed.
 

Responsibilities

The Clinical Coordinator is responsible and accountable to manage the clinical and clerical staff and clinical programs during their shift. Assists the Department Director in the daily operation of the unit, directing, supervising and evaluating personnel, ensuring the proper use of time, equipment and staff. Ensure the efficient functioning of the department. May performs direct patient care, as needed, within the scope of practice. Continually assess care and directs staff to make immediate changes in the plan of care. 

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING  1. Current and valid state RN License 2. Previous supervisory experience, preferred. 3. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in acute care hospital 4. BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current. 5. Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) within 3 months of employment.
