Charge Nurse is responsible and accountable to the Department Director for the quality of nursing staff and the delivery of patient care during his/her shift and assists the Director in the daily operation of the respective unit(s)/department. He/she provides direct communication with the Director and/or House Supervisor of unanticipated patient care events and/or risk management activities within patient care unit(s). As you might suspect, you will assist with required scheduling, staffing and assignments, and provide direction, supervision and evaluation of staff and/or staff education as necessary. Equally important is your ability to Collaborate with other department managers/supervisors to ensure smooth coordination of services to patients. We will look to you to help assess patient care delivery and quality of care/documentation on a consistent basis. At SJMC, you will be part of a close, very collaborative and supportive Nursing Team. Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN); preferred.
Missouri RN License; required.
Current BLS (AHA), ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current; required.
One (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular and/or Interventional Radiology Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area is preferred.

EP is also preferred.
