Job Description


The successful candidate will have substantial experience working with managed care plans on reimbursement issues.  This may include resolving disputed claims through mediation, arbitration, and litigation.  This may also include payor relations efforts through joint operations committees or experience with managed care contracts.    

  1. Demonstrated ability to independently handle major complex legal matters with superior level of analytical skill including ability to identify both legal and business issues.
  2. Systematically gathers and analyzes all necessary information to make informed risk assessments.
  3. Versatility to handle more than one legal matter at a high level of competence.
  4. Adapts and responds well to unexpected or adverse situations or times of crisis.


  1. A law degree from an ABA accredited law school.
  2. A license to practice law.
  3. At least 7 years of experience, preferably at a reputable law firm or in-house legal department.
  4.  Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Substantial experience with managed care plans and reimbursement work.
  6. Prior experience representing either providers or payors in reimbursement disputes.
