Overview

****FULL TIME - SHIFT VARIES****

Responsibilities

Performs and operates highly specialized radiological and digital recording equipment as he/she assists on all special procedures in the Radiology Department. The RT assists in the care for the young adult, adult, and geriatric patients receiving diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Radiology Department. This care includes and is not limited to utilizing fluoro & Xray, developing films, labeling and storage of films, providing radiation protection for self, the staff and the patient, quality control on all Xray related processes, maintenance of accurate procedural film log and filing system for reports and films, and communicating knowledge of equipment capabilities and limitations appropriately to the physicians.

Assists in Maintaining Performance Improvement Program.  Promotes teamwork and good customer service. Does scheduling for assigned sub departments and maintains supplies and equipment for assigned sub department(s).

Qualifications

  • Must have CRT (ARRT & Fluoroscopy permit preferred)

  • Must be proficient in either 2 modalities (Qualification 1) or 1 modality and hold a supervisory position (Qualification 2)

  • Must maintain BCLS throughout employment

  • Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations

  • One year of ACUTE Clinical Radiography desired.

  • One year in Second Modality is required. Advanced Certification maybe substituted.

  • Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT
