Overview

This position is responsible for Central Billing Office Accounts Receivable Resolution for Prime Healthcare facilities. We are searching for an Account Representatives supporting hospital Central Business Office operations who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. In this position you will follow-up on aged accounts receivable to help ensure continuity of cash flow and to help secure resolution of account balances.  This role involves performing account resolution  including but not limited to, plan updates, insurance verification, coding updates, rebills, denials, technical appeals and contractual review. This role will require communication to payors, departmental leadership, and other departments throughout the Central Billing Office. Responsibilities will require the candidate to leverage systems, processes, resources and other methods to minimize revenue loss, increase cash flow, and maximize efficiency without compromising customer service. Experience with EPIC HB, Meditech and Relay preferred.
Responsibilities

The Specialist, Account Resolution is the lead responsible for the timely follow-up of Managed Care/Commercial accounts. Communicates clearly and efficiently by phone with health plans. Maintains productivity standards and reports. Responsible to obtain State collection guidelines if applicable. Reviews managed care contracts.
Qualifications

1. Minimum of four years hospital managed care/commercial collector experience required.
2. Bachelor�s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
3. Knowledge of contract interpretation
4. Familiar with hospital billing requirements
