Job Description


The Vice President of Real Estate Operations leads all aspects of Prime Healthcare Management Inc’s owned and leased real estate portfolio, which includes healthcare operations such as medical office buildings and non-healthcare such as office, retail, storage, multi-family, high-end residential and vacant land. The VP of Real Estate Ops operates across many departments to assure optimum success in all real estate activities, nationwide. Internally, the VP of Real Estate Ops works closely with Hospital CEO/CFOs, Corporate Executives, Legal, Facilities/Construction, Finance, Investments, and Property Tax and Appraisal. Externally, the VP of Real Estate Ops works closely with Property Managers, Brokers, Appraisers, Lenders, Tenants, Legal, Accounting and other professional services.


This position is located at the Corporate offices in Ontario, California, and may have occasional travel in and out of California when necessary.



  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited institution in Business, Economics, Finance or another related field.

  • Fifteen (15) years’ experience operating/managing multiple asset classes of real estate.

  • Experience providing advice to various decision makers regarding strategic planning, lease execution, value engineering, acquisition, and divestiture of real property (both undeveloped and improved).

  • Experience handling construction, Landlord/Tenant issues, property managers and real estate brokers.

  • Working knowledge of applicable laws. Understanding of Stark Law and the Anti-Kickback Statute is a plus.

  • Understanding of and experience with other real property related issues such as lot line adjustments, entitlements, 1031 exchanges, replats, parcel maps, easements, tax determination/appeals, etc.

  • Experience with real estate financing such as bank loans, CMBS, and bonds.



  • Master’s Degree in Business Management, Economics, Finance or another related field.
