Job Description

Overview Serves as the on-site coordinator for daily business operations.  Provides administrative services to the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center providers and staff in order to achieve comprehensive, personal, and efficient patient care by completing a variety of clerical and business related assignments.  Assures smooth functioning in the office.


Under the general direction of the Wound Care Director and/or Clinical Coordinator, and within established LHS and site policies and procedures, assists in day-to-day center operations and monitors monthly expenses.

Maintains competency/training logs on all staff at site.

Ensures office statistics are maintained.

Recommends/implements cross training of staff as needed.

Coordinate and track patient ancillary testing.

Enters superbill data into LMC billing system.

Reports staff and center provider work hours to Director and/or Clinical Coordinator.

Maintains office supply inventories and orders medical supplies as instructed by Clinical Coordinator.

Receives patients, collects demographics data from patients and family members, including referral information.

Collects co-pays and deductibles and provides accurate and complete demographic and charge information to the billing office, as directed.

Provides data entry, typing and transcription for the site.  Records meeting minutes.

Establishes new medical records, copies registration for LHS, copies insurance card and driver’s license for new patient charts.

Answers phones, schedules patients for wound care and hyperbaric appointments. Assures phone coverage when on breaks, makes reminder calls to next day patients and calls “no shows” to reschedule.  Verifies insurance.

Performs duties in compliance with safe and protective practices as recommended by OSHA, the Landmark Medical Center Infection Control Manual and the Landmark Laboratory Procedure Manual

All duties will be performed in compliance with LHS Management Company’s policies and procedures.

Performs other duties as necessary.



1. High school diploma or equivalent. 

2. Prior experience obtaining insurance authorizations, preferred
3. Education in word processing and data entry, preferred

4. Patient scheduling experinece, preferred
