Responsibilities

Develops orientation programs, in-service education to include stroke training, and other relevant programs for the development of nursing and Hospital staff.  Clinical oversight for the stroke program including maintaining certification.

 

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.  Current license in State of Rhode Island.  Master's Degree with a major in nursing/nursing education.  Two or more years experience in nursing administration or education with a minimum of 2 years stroke specific emphasis.  Must maintain a minimum of 8 hrs stroke specific continuing education annually.  Modified Rankin certification and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale certification.
