Responsibilities

As our new Staff RN in the Cath Lab, you are directly accountable to the Manager of Cardiology Services. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care in the Cath Lab/IR setting through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for pediatrics, adolescents, adults and older adults. The Registered Nurse coordinates the care of the patient with the physician, technicians and anesthesiologist; directs and guides other personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Works with other departments to provide a continuum of care and co-workers to provide continuous, quality patient care, efficient patient flow and unit maintenance and organization.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN); preferred.

2. Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License; required.

3. Current BCLS (AHA), ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current; required.

4. One (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area; required.
