Responsibilities

We continue to grow! We opened our new Geriatric Psychiatric unit specifically focused on the unique physical and emotional needs of the senior adult. Our new Geropsychiatric unit offers the most comprehensive psychiatric program in the Kansas City area. The response has been incredible and we are currently staffing to expand.

Our Geropsychiatric team is seeking Staff RN's for both Day and Night shifts. Our RN's work collaboratively as part of a professional and medical team focused on restoring the patients' health by following evidence-based nursing practices, exercising independent judgement and managing complex health issues. Typical RN duties include identification of care needs and individualized care planning, assessing/monitoring physical parameters, inserting intravenous catheters, monitoring and administering medications/intravenous infusions all to help optimize the patient's recovery to health, ensure high quality care and provide a safe hospital environment. Qualifications

1. Current and valid state RN License. 2. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current. 3. Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 4. Experience in acute care setting preferred. 5. Experience in Behavioral Health preferred. 6. Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. 7. Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current.
