Overview Thank you for your consideration in joining the dedicated Cath Lab team at St. Clare's. The below duties and responsibilities are specific to the Registered Nurse candidate:

    Provides direct patient care to adult and geriatric patient populations.Performs diagnostic and interventional cardiac, vascular and radiology procedures according to department protocols, including circulating and monitoring functionality.Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the procedural environment.Communicates with physician continuously and as needed about patient condition.Assesses all access sites and reports complications.Monitors physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab.Participates in after hours on-call for emergency call back needs, with a 30-minute response requirement.Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.Assists in maintaining performance improvement program.Maintains department supplies and equipment.Promotes teamwork with excellent customer service.10 hour shifts
Responsibilities Provides direct patient care to adult and geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Communicates with physician continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of equipment and inventory. Assesses procedure room or equipment functioning and readiness. Obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of the Cardiovascular Laboratory team are met. Monitors physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Monitors and records patients condition continuously while in the Cardiovascular lab. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.

Education and Work Experience

  1. Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN); preferred.
  2. Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License; required.
  3. Current BCLS (AHA), ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current; required.
  4. One (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area; required.
