Responsibilities •** This is a No-Call Position ***

 

As our new Charge Nurse in the Operating Room you will directly supervise and communicate with all departmental staff and physicians to ensure the department functions efficiently.  You will assist the Director of Surgical Services in the daily operation of the unit by way of directing and ensuring the proper use of time, equipment and staff. As you would suspect, you will continually assess care and direct staff to make immediate changes in the plan of care. 1. Current and valid state RN License.

2. Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.

3. Current ACLS (AHA) 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

4. Current PALS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current, preferred.

5. Previous supervisory experience, one to two years, in acute care hospital Surgical OR setting, preferred.

6. Minimum of 5 years experience in an acute care operating room preferred.

7. CNOR within 2 years, preferred.

8. Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN), preferred.

9. Competency in Sedation Monitoring within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

10. Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current.
