Responsibilities

The Human Resources Generalist assists in managing the day to day operations and provides a wide variety of complex Human Resources support to all levels in the organization, ensuring the comprehensive administration of human resources policy and procedures.  The position performs high-level professional duties in a variety of functional core human resources areas including employment, training & development, employee/labor relations, performance management, benefits administration, organizational development, union negotiations and legal compliance with applicable state and federal guidelines.

 

Candidate must have good interpersonal & relationship building skills, able to speak in a public setting and or in front of large groups, good decision-making skills along with the ability to use resources information systems software.

 

Qualifications

Education & Work Experience:

 

1- Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or related; Masters preferred

2- 5-7 years in healthcare/hospital setting in Human Resources

3- PHR/SPHR or relevant HR certification

4- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities to produce a large volume of material with attention to detail.

5- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a union environment

6- Proficient knowledge with Excel, Work, Microsoft Outlook and PowerPoint
