Responsibilities Human Resources

Full time

 

The Leave of Absence Coordinator will track and maintain all leave of absences. The Leave of Absence Coordinator will be responsible for processing the leave of absences for union and non-union employees, determining FMLA eligibility and sending out applicable correspondences regarding the status of employee's leave of absence requests. This includes getting appropriate medical certifications and communicating with employees within the framework of FMLA, ADA, and all other applicable regulations. Coordinates the support for all leave of absence. Effectively coordinates all cases/claims to include general administration, comprehensive management and program compliance with the Family and Medical Leave Act, American Disabilities Act and all related employment laws. Also works with Employee Health with workers’ compensation process.

Education and Work Experience

 

1. Associates Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred

2. 2-5 years of managing leave administration

3. Knowledge of state and federal FMLA regulations, ADA, and other state leaves

4. Knowledge of Workers Compensation

5. Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills

6. Microsoft Office Skills required
