Overview
Employee Health / Occupational Health / Infection Control Nurse - Licensed Vocational Nurse - LVN
This is a non exempt full time role - 8 hrs. - non union that reports to the HR Director

Responsibilities


  • The Employee Health Nurse coordinates employee annual physicals, PPD, and Fit Testing while maintaining tracking system.
  • Ensures timely processing of Worker's Compensation claims.
  • Evaluates accident reports to determine accuracy and completeness and to ensure adequate investigation.
  • Serves as the primary health contact for injured employees in the work environment.
  • Refers employees to appropriate department for emergency evaluation and treatment for work related injuries.
  • Assures cost effective coordination of treatment, referral to preferred providers, collaborates with management in development of objectives for employee health services compatible with goals and objectives of the hospital.
  • Documents accurately and helps to maintain required confidential employee and administrative records.

    Qualifications


    • Knowledge of theory, techniques and practices of employee health.
    • Minimum of 1 year experience in Hosiptal or Healthcare settings required
    • Previous experience in employee health, occupational health, infection control, workers comp, LOA, OSHA or modified duty required.
    • Current and valid license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) issued by the state
    • BLS upon hire required.
