Overview

THIS POSITION CAN BE LOCATED IN ANY STATE/AREA THAT PRIME HEATLHCARE HAS AN OPEN HOSPITAL.

Responsibilities

The Corporate Director of Critical Care is a Registered Nurse (RN) who assumes 24 hour administrative responsibility for the management and coordination of all Critical Care Service functions throughout the enterprise. Oversees the delivery of patient care and ensures that local, state, and federal guidelines are followed.  Develops and implements organizational plans for the designated service line including policies, protocols, standardized care and performance improvement activities that are in compliance with current regulations.   Effectively utilizes nursing staffing metrics, dashboards and other data tools in order to monitor the financial stability and quality scores for the Critical Care Service line.  Consults and communicates with local Critical Care Directors, Staff, Physicians and Administration through site visits, meetings, committees and rounds.  Addresses patient care delivery issues and ensures local adoption of corporate policies. Available to travel to all facilities across the enterprise.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.

  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)-(AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

  • Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) (AACN) preferred.

  • A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience necessary.

  • Minimum of three years of continuous clinical experience in a clinical/acute care setting.

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

  • Master’s of Science in Nursing or related advanced administration/leadership degree required

  • Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) within 6 months of hire and maintain current.
