Job Description

Responsibilities In partnership with the VP of Marketing and Communications, organizes and directs the marketing, branding, external communications, advertising, media relations, social media and digital strategy to develop and build consumer preference and demand for Prime Healthcare and its family of hospitals. Provides communications, PR and marketing guidance and support to the marketing and business development leaders in Prime Healthcare hospitals. This position will work with Prime Leadership to ensure marketing & communications initiatives drive and support key strategic goals.

Required qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, English, Public Relations, Communications or related field. Master's degree a plus.
  2. Must have at least 5 years of healthcare leadership experience; 10 years of experience in marketing, advertising, PR or related field.
  3. A track record of results in improving business through effective marketing and PR campaigns, including digital strategies.
  4. Experience in effectively dealing with senior level executives, employees, physicians, board members, and community leaders.
  5. Knowledge of marketing practices and research. Skill in conducting and evaluating marketing research and statistical computations to implement successful marketing strategies.
  6. Strong communication and relationship building skills; excellent interpersonal skills as well as oral and written communications skills.
  7. Can provide examples of innovative, out of the box thinking.
Preferred qualifications:

  1. Experience working in a large, complex (matrixed) national health system.
  2. Highly developed organizational, communication, planning and leadership skills; excellent coaching and mentoring skills to support an effective corporate and hospital marketing communications team.
