Overview •***FULL TIME/DAYS*****

Responsibilities Responsible for coordinating and leading all activities associated with the ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI)  Program and Targeted Temperature Management (TTM).  Is an active participant in performance improvement data collection,  activities,  and functions to promote an integrated STEMI Program and TTM program, which ensures the provision of the highest quality of healthcare. Assists with the development and implementation of initiatives,  policies and procedures, including staff education  activities related to STEMI and TTM care.  Evaluates STEMI and TTM program through the use of data capture, follow-up and trend analysis and presents findings to appropriate committees.  Collaborates with  multidisciplinary team on problem identification and resolution,  cost containment issues,  implementation of new services and systems/ performance  measures for both the STEMI and TTM Programs.

EDUCATION,  EXPERIENCE,  TRAINING

  1. BSN required,  Masters (APN)  preferred.  Current state licensure as an RN or APN. Basic Life  Support(BLS)
  2. Five years clinical  and/or management  experience  in  a multidisciplinary  health  care setting  which includes a minimum of two years of inpatient experience preferred.
  3. After  6 months,  knowledge  in  the  care of  STEMI  patients  using  the American  Heart Association Guidelines is  required.
  4. Knowledgeable  on current State Laws and Regulations  as applicable  to facility,  STEMI  program  and
  5. TTM program.
  6. Computer  proficiency  in  Windows  applications  is  required  (especially Word,  Excel,  PowerPoint); strong working  knowledge  in  data management,  data analysis and quality  improvement  processes are required.   Proficiency in  Computerized  Physician Order Entry (CPOE)  and core clinical  systems are required.
