Job Description


The Chief Operations Officer provides the leadership and vision necessary to ensure that the hospital/health network has proper operational controls and reporting procedures in place to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. Responsible for designated departments including but not limited to: Housekeeping, Imaging, Laboratory, Nutrition Services, Pharmacy, Rehabilitation Therapies, Respiratory Therapy, Plant Operations, Security.


1. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required.

2. Master’s degree in business or related field preferred.

3. Minimum of ten (10) years of hospital operations at the leadership level required.

4. Responsible for the measurement/effectiveness of all internal/external processes.

5. Ability to collaborate with the management team to develop plans for operational infrastructure.

6. Ability to oversee major workforce/resource decisions.

7. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

8. Must obtain Sexual Harassment Certification within 6 months, and then maintain biennially.
